Several years ago, I had a table near Brian Board at the Las Vegas winter show. I enjoyed visiting with him and seeing his hand checkered duck calls on display. It was obvious that he was a master checkerer. We talked a lot about restoration of gun stocks to like factory original; checkering patterns, finishes, etc. I soon learned that Brian understood what collectors look for.
A few years later, I finally found a Parker 10-gauge VH grade to complete my collection of VH guns in all gauges, but it was a survivor of a terrible refinish job. The forend was really bad. I sent it to Brian for restoration to as factory original as possible. In a very short time, I got it back and was thrilled with the results - the pattern was exactly as a VH grade should have and the mullered border was exactly like it should be. Brian is the best.
